              TRAINING

Training and development is vital to furthering your abilities and knowledge within roller derby. It allows you to not only understand the techniques involved but to see your skills implemented. By setting yourself personal goals on a reachable level, you're building self confidence, life fulfilment and keeping your motivation going. Which in turn helps to keep the teams spirits at there highest, and make sure everyone is reaching their full potential together.

AGILITY BOOTCAMP

Roller derby is a really intense and technical sport. We need the ability to react and move very fast and to the best of your ability. In a bout situation there are constant repetitions of the same movement and foot work, that you have to do over and over. So to help develop these skills and movements we need agility, speed, control and strength which partly comes from the off-skate work outs. It allows your muscles to retain patterns and movement making difficult techniques easier to cope with, and goes a long way in helping your skills and over all health improve.

OPEN DOOR POLICY

Here at Wee County Roller Derby we see everyone as equal. Whether you’ve been playing derby for years and are very experienced or your just starting out and want to get in as much time on skates as possible, you will always be welcome to train with us.

Roller derby is a community and one of our main aims is to support this community by offering extra track time to other leagues and skaters. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on training dates and times.
